Our quality standards are appropriate. By saying “do not pay less” we mean less than what is reasonable, because by doing so you may be running unnecessary risks. Some institutions offer surgeries at prices they cannot possibly cover, or at the most, they cover surgery costs. That is to say, if everything were to be done in a proper way, the surgeon would not be getting paid AT ALL. This may be due to several causes, for instance, materials used, or the place where the surgery is performed. A doctor’s office, a house disguised as a clinic, or a clinic with no municipal permit. Another example may be a surgery performed under general anesthesia in a clinic with no intensive care unit, or a case where the surgery team is incomplete, with no anesthesiologist, for instance. Or else, instead of counting with an assistant surgeon, operating next to the main one, the surgeon performing the surgery with just the surgery assistant.The patient may not be cardiologically monitored, the surgeon may be in a training stage and may not be interested in getting paid any fees, thus operating on a great number of patients in order to gain experience. After which we might wonder if there could be complications arising from plastic surgery.

The answer is YES, some complications may occur, but in a lesser degree, as long as  the abovementioned examples are not present, besides, they could be more easily solved if the procedures have been performed in suitable conditions. If a complication arises in an adverse environment it may even result in a catastrophe. There are medium-priced clinics as regards accommodation or the area of the city where they are located which may turn out to be good. The implants used may be more economical or more costly, and in both cases they may be good. The surgeons’ fees may differ, according to their backgrounds or the purchasing power of their patients, and they may be good professionals, but there is a limit, and when that limit is crossed you should be mistrustful and get informed. Bear in mind that paying less than what is reasonable may mean putting your health at risk.
As most surgeons, though unfortunately not all of them, we consider as our guiding line that we should treat the patient as we ourselves would like to be treated if we happened to be the patient, and this involves not only being polite with the patient but performing surgery in suitable conditions as well.
